TOUPPER: A Word List Capitalization Utility
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

It has come to my attention that some competitive and tournament Scrabble
(tm) players prefer to have their word lists in all upper case (capital
letters) to match the letters on the game board. To this end, I now include
the TOUPPER.EXE utility that converts lower case (or even mixed case) word
lists to upper case (all caps).
To use TOUPPER, simply type: TOUPPER FILENAME
FILENAME is the name of the file to convert. If you forget to type the file
name, the program will prompt you for it. Note that the original lower case
word list will disappear, so save it to a floppy if you wish to keep that
too. You may even convert the master WORD.LST with TOUPPER if you wish. If
you do that, however, you will have to keep the Caps Lock on when using the
WORDY utilities.
In answer to the unspoken question, yes, there is a TOLOWER utility. It is
not part of the WORDY package, but I will supply it on request to those
registered WORDY users who have regretted converting their word lists to all
caps and wish to change back.

Scrabble is a trademark of the Milton Bradley Co., Inc.
WORDY is not a trademark.
TOUPPER is also not a trademark (it is the name of a standard library
function in the C language).
